Local Author Fair 2017 at LML

If you're in the Lehigh Valley Area in eastern PA and would like to attend, I'll be at this year's Lower Macungie Library's local author event on Saturday, May 20th from 10 AM to 3 PM.

I'll have bookmarks, print-outs of some of my most popular blog posts, my porcelain beauties, and codes for free downloads of parts 1 and 2 of The Porcelain Souls series. New subscribers to my newsletter on that day only (whether you're able to attend the event or not) will also be given a free copy of my women's fiction piece "Sisters," the newest short story that is in line for publication.

The Greater Lehigh Valley Writers Group (GLVWG) will be hosting their annual "Battle of the Books" contest during this event as well.

I'll be scouting for new editing projects for those in attendance, so if you're a local author yourself, I have some free stuff for you too. Those who visit my table can also sign up to receive information about the upcoming Project YA Editorial contest, where those submitting will have a chance to win free editing services. Only one lucky winner will be selected, so get busy writing! Details for the event will be posted on the Project YA Editorial page of this site soon.

More information about the event can be found on Lower Macungie Library's website.

I hope to see you there!

Indie Author Day

For those of you in the Lehigh Valley area of PA, I'll be hanging out at Lower Macungie Library for the afternoon. I'm not sure how many hours I'll be there, but be there for the majority of the event if I can, mingling and sharing experiences with other authors who have self-published. There won't be any book signings or anything at the event (though I will have some of my bookmarks and such handy), but it's still a great learning opportunity for those of you wanting to know more about indie publishing. I encourage you to come check it out if you can!

The Ballerina's Gift Facebook Launch Party

Hey, everyone! I’ll be holding a launch day party on Facebook for part two of my Porcelain Souls series, The Ballerina’s Gift. It officially launches on August 6th, and I’ll be hosting the event from 8:30 to 9:30 EDT on this page: https://www.facebook.com/events/1059142190790011/

I’ll be giving away several SIGNED copies of my new e-book, along with signed copies of the first. There will also be some neat facts, both about the history behind the elements in the book and about my writing process, and of course, some cool games. One of the games will be a contest for the creepiest picture of a porcelain doll.

And, to top it all off, I’ll be sharing excerpts from my new book as well.

Hope to see you guys there!

YA Chat on Twitter

Join me on Twitter on July 11th for another chat! As an avid reader and writer of the YA genre, I want to connect more with others who enjoy the same genre. I'll be chatting about my favorite YA books strictly from a reader's point of view. If you have any recommendations for what to read next, I'd love to hear them! I also have some questions I'll be tossing out there for you guys to answer, such as what subgenres of YA do you enjoy the most? Again, the focus won't be on writing YA but rather reading it. After all, writers become better writers by reading!

To join the chat, just follow the hashtag #RMNSchats on the 11th at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Don't forget to use the hashtag in your answers!

Facebook Chat - All About Self-Publishing

On May 28th at 9 p.m. EDT, I'll be holding a chat on my Facebook author page about my own experiences in self-publishing. However, since I'm fairly new in the self-publishing industry, I've invited guest speaker and indie author Kylie Betzner to join us! She'll be helping me answer any questions you may have about the process, and I'll be asking her some questions of my own along the way.

If you have questions of your own about self-publishing or just want to lurk to see the chat, feel free to pop in!
